Over priced no alcohol and under staffing.God was good but, seems to me they are trying to be a little to fancy

Really good food served on disposable dinnerware. Weird, considering how expensive this place is and how snooty they are. The atmosphere is alien somehow, like it should be in Florida or somewhere like that.

Food was ok, definitely not great. We paid cash, restaurant advertising you get discount when you pay cash, well our change was not given, instead waitress handed us a card, stating that we would get discount on our next visit. Not Great Customer Service when staff dictates their tip amount, which in our case it was more than 20%, dirty games, not returning change & dictating their tip, which was way out of the % they deserved. Definitely not eating at this restaurant. We ATE GREAT FOOD AT 5 DIFFERENT RESTAURANTS in Port A.

They dont do carry out meals/desserts and if you even ask about them they immediately tell you to leave

Exceptional food, made with creativity and thought from a very talented chef who clearly enjoys his craft. I had the red snapper in lemon broth with rice and julienned vegetables. It was superior. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the broth was flavorful and obviously homemade. I enjoyed the shrimp cocktail with saki as an appetizer. My kids enjoyed the chocolate "mousse" for dessert, which was delicious and singular. I've never had anything like it. Waitstaff are super friendly and welcoming. The prices are higher, yes, but clearly worth it. Not a typical beach dive, so clean up your appearance a bit for Liberty Hall.

Great food! We were greeted by a very professional hostess and seated very quickly for a Friday night. No little kids in sight! This is an adult spot. Decent wine list. The food? Incredible. We had the sword fish special and the Yucatán black drum. Both were perfectly cooked, not over sauced or over spiced. Obviously this spot is chef driven. Great attention to detail. I highly recommended it if you want fresh seafood in an adult setting. Well worth the price and lack of screaming kids.

The food was perfection on plate. Upscale casual seems to be the vibe.

Quietly pleasant ambience, linen table cloth, daily changing excellent menu, great choices of wine. Good and attentive but unobtrusive service. In all: a great choice for a fantastic dinner.

This place has the best seafood on the island. Many wonderful and imaginative specials, and super friendly staff.

The guy behind the skillet knows what he's doing. You will never consider correcting any of his seasonings or questioning his skill set.

Wow, best crab cakes ever!

The food was great and the waitress and staff where very nice. The food portion was small and yea little more than your normal meal. But was here on vacation momorial day weekend and if you expect to eat cheap stay at home. Over all 4 out of 5 because I'm a big guy and want a plate full. Other than that terrific.Can't wait to eat there this 4th July week on our trip back.

Absolutely the BEST fish we have ever had! It literally melts in your mouth. Great service and atmosphere. This place is an absolute gem in Port Aransas!

It's a great place to eat is model as friends don't serve friends frozen fish I had the blue crab crusted red snapper with a cream sauce it was delicious and for appetizer had barbecued shrimp is also delicious I highly recommend this place is is so little bit pricey but very good I don't mind paying for good food and fresh fish

Best restaurant on the island! Linda is so sweet and genuine, I just love her! I could eat here everyday! Guy is an amazing chef and creator! Love it!

I now rate Liberty Hall as one of the top three restaurants in Port Aransas. Every time I go back it gets better, culminating with a family dinner June 7. The chef had been to Rockport that morning and brought back fresh snapper and Warsaw grouper. I had the snapper, grilled, and it was superb! My wife opted for scallops and pronounced them as the best she has ever had. Our adult children had different dishes (don't remember) and raved about them. Equally impressive, our 3 grandchildren (12, plus 8 yr old twins) loved the fried drum! These kids have been known to be picky eaters, and the 8 yr old little girl said she didn't like fish. After the drum she precociously stated "I'm going to have to rethink this fish thing!" I highly recommend Liberty Hall.

Only three because it was great food last year for my family and in-laws, 7 people total. This year, we were told they could only accommodate a 6 person party. Not one more. Said the staff could not manage 7 people at a table. Person on the phone said they could seat us if we had one less person. Spent 500$ at a neighboring eatery instead. Maybe Liberty Hall can figure out how to manage 7 people, at one table, by the time we return. Everyone missed out on this one.

July 5 in Texas without AC and that was not the worst part of this meal. 21. 00 for 6 Tempora shrimp 5 fries and a spoon of coleslaw served on a paper plate. I had almost as many lemon slices as fries. 34.00 for a Western Sizzler steak with undercooked green beans. I have been coming to Port A for 30 years and I have had better food at McDonald's. the hostess was the only bright spot. Will never go back.

Absolutely awesome food. Many people told me it was pricey but great food is worth paying for and Mr. Carnathan is obviously a master at his trade. This was my first visit there but since I live here in Port Aransas, will definately be the first of many! I would recommend Liberty Hall to all who visit our little island. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere!

The food was awesome we had the Red Snapper, the Drum, and Scallops it was very good. Only thing I can say and this is just my personal opinion is that they use simple syrup if you ask for a sweet tea and no ranch what so ever in the building. They only have blue cheese and a red wine vinaigrette.

Best in Port Aransas!! Love the crab cake & soft shell crabs when they have them. My husband loves the gumbo. Everything is delicious!!

Amazing food and service!

Best food you'll find anywhere, not just on Port A! Linda, the owner, adds charm and warmth to your experience there, and Guy, her husband, is an amazing chef! Never miss out on ordering a 'special of the night' because it's always fantastic and super fresh seafood! Don't eat here if you want run of the mill food because it's not that...it's a delicious food experience! Wish I could have an IV of their lemon butter sauce!! :) Prices are very reasonable, they have a very nice wine list (also very well priced) and the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Our favorite restaurant in Texas!

Personally know Chef Guy and Linda and they are the sweetest people I've met on the island, sadly was during Hurricane Harvey aftermath, and am excited to say that I will be finally able to dine at Liberty Hall. Yay, I'm so excited can't hardly wait.

A fun place ! BYOB and a good selection of beer & wine. The starters were different ~ sliced deviled eggs with a fried oyster in top was my favorite. The snapper was AWESOME ! Our server, Eric, was knowledgeable of the specials & described them in yummy detail :-) service was expedient. A delightful evening. Thank you !

You can travel the world and Not find better prepared seafood than what Chef Guy creates and Linda graciously serves. So happy they are back after Hurricane Harvey! We had a wonderful meal last night starting with fire cracker shrimp and perfectly prepared scallops with pasta and an amazing sauce to balance the dish. We ended with a toasted pound cake with a lemon curd filling topped with fresh whipped cream. All was yummy and innovative. Please keep on creating and sharing your daily specials right here in Port A.

What a phenomenal meal. Beautifully appetizing from start to finish. Comments applicable to glassware quickly faded against the outstanding quality of the dining experience. I'm sorry to live so far away that it may be years before we experience such a great time.

The blue crab crusted grouper is to die for! Then they had peach cobbler that was perfection! Great wine list too!! I’ll be back again... worth every dime!!

Excellent seafood, very fresh, amazing staff!

Friendly staff. Clean dining room. Well lit. Music a bit too loud. Portions small compared to price. Food is delicious. Did not expect a $ 100 tab for two dining on snapper entree and a fried shrimp entre. Cold melon soup was a nice touch however.. Thanks -

Just returned from a most enjoyable evening with Linda and entire staff taking care to see that our dining experience was perfection. Our group had four different dishes perfectly prepared and presented by Chef Guy. I have never been disappointed by the service and quality of food at Liberty Hall. Each time we leave we are reminded that we are always excited to plan our return for another wonderful dining experience.

This place is fantastic! It is probably some of the best seafood I've had minus the states on the East Coast. The crab cakes and red snapper were beautifully fresh and the sauces were delicious. My only gripe is that the prices are a bit high for the small portion sizes you get, but the food is amazing. The service was extremely friendly and helpful and the interior was simple but refined, would definitely recommend this place for a nice meal.

This place was recommended to us by some of the locals and it was cute I guess. Unfortunately, it took us 30 minutes to get sat when there were open tables everywhere. It took us 55 minutes to receive our food and that was the biggest killer for us. Especially when they weren't even that busy. Price was way too expensive for decent food and there wasn't very many menu options.

Food is excellent service was okay. The service would have been excellent had or waitress been more communicative on expectations of wait times. Ex: the soup is going to take 15-20minutes to come out. Do you still want it, or would you like a different appetizer?Other than that food was the best I've ever had down there. The owner is the chef and no substitutions. Dishes are prepared in the sauce they come with. Can't have one without the other.

The food here was pretty good. Loved the scallops & the asian creole sauce... not a fan of the desserts but everything else was decently good even with the higher price points...
